About Me
My name is Johnny Baltierra. I’m a retired educator with over 25 years of school counseling experience and founder
and president of Bridge2College.
I was born in Mexicali, Mexico and grew up in Fresno, California. I was married at 17
years old to Susan and we have three sons, Michael, Joe, and Gabriel.
I graduated from Fresno High School and attended and graduated from Fresno City
College in 1983 while completing five years of night courses. I graduated from Fresno State
University with my Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993 and graduated from Fresno Pacific
University in 1997 with my Master of Arts in Education and my Pupil Personnel Services
Credential.
In 2018, I retired and founded Bridge2College, a college readiness program to empower
underrepresented exemplary students to institutions of higher education. Our mission is to
provide leadership workshops on college readiness, college tours, and scholarships for
underrepresented exemplary students.
Since 2018, we have provided leaderships workshops to over 100 students, taken our
students to visit and tour colleges in California and Ivy League universities and awarded over
$50,000 in scholarships to our students.
We hope that you will consider joining our program and give us the opportunity to empower
you in leaving an impact in your home, school, and community.
Sincerely,
Johnny Baltierra, Founder
